Our Story
The Silence After
There is a particular kind of silence that follows the moment a bouquet is unwrapped. A held breath, a photograph taken, and then, almost immediately, a quiet countdown begins. Three days. Five, if you're lucky. And then it's gone, and so, somehow, is a little of the moment itself.
We kept noticing that. The way something so full of meaning could be built to disappear.
So we built the opposite.
The Craft
There is care in this process that no photograph quite captures. Every rose begins in the flower fields of the Netherlands, where generations of growers have coaxed colour and shape from the soil long before a single bloom ever reaches a box. Each one is hand-selected at the exact moment it is most itself, then gently released from the need to wilt, as glycerin is drawn slowly through each petal until it forgets how to fade. The box itself, black velvet and gold-lettered, is assembled by hand in Vienna, as though it were the only one being made that day.
What Stays
A Roses & Co. box does not ask to be photographed quickly, before it fades. It sits. It waits. Months from now, it will look exactly as it did the day it arrived. The same depth of red. The same soft weight in the hand. The same quiet presence on a shelf.
We think a gift should not have an expiration date on its meaning. It should be there a year later, on an ordinary Tuesday, still saying what it said the day it arrived, not louder, not less. Just still there.
That is the only thing we have ever tried to make.
Roses that don't say goodbye.
